As you turn into our driveway, don’t be surprised if the colour explosion stops you in your tracks!

In spring, hundreds of rhododendrons burst into bloom, transforming the landscape into a living masterpiece.

Wander through park-like grounds with sweeping lawns and open spaces, perfect for slowing down and soaking it all in. Stroll beneath the dappled shade of established oak and cherry trees, where every turn reveals something new to admire.

Among the rhododendrons, you’ll find beautiful companions—lush hostas, delicate hellebores, and enchanting trilliums—adding layers of texture and charm. Our beautiful collection of roses, dogwoods, maples and deciduous azaleas brings ever-changing colour and seasonal interest everywhere you look.

The garden was started over 25 years ago and we have owned it for the last five years. In the more formal areas, there are mass plantings of rhododendrons planted in threes and in colour groupings. The more informal area has gravel paths to wander through and get up close to the plants and in amongst the colour!

We invite you to come, explore, and relax with a cup of tea beneath the grapevine and enjoy our special corner of the Hurunui.
